National Life Insurance Contributes NPR 10 Million to Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund

Kathmandu: National Life Insurance Company Limited has extended financial support to the Government of Nepal’s Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund. The company contributed NPR 10 million to aid in the reconstruction of public infrastructure damaged during the Genji demonstrations and protests held across the country on Bhadra 23 and 24, as well as for economic recovery and relief efforts.
The donation cheque, amounting to NPR 10 million, was handed over to Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Suresh Prasad Khatri, and Deputy General Manager, Mr. Prajwal Sayami, during a special ceremony held today.
National Life Insurance stated that this contribution falls under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Speaking at the event, CEO Khatri highlighted the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting social causes, including education, health, disaster management, and environmental conservation. He also reaffirmed the company’s dedication to continuing and expanding such CSR initiatives in the future.
In line with directives from regulatory authorities, the company allocates one percent of its annual net profit to the CSR Fund each fiscal year.
National Life Insurance’s contribution is expected to support the reconstruction of public infrastructure and serve as an example of active private-sector participation in national social responsibility efforts.
