Kathmandu. Reinforcing its flagship Digital December 2025 – Empowering Enterprises campaign, Laxmi Sunrise Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aadyanta Advisory Pvt. Ltd. and the American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal (AmCham Nepal) to collaborate on strengthening Nepal’s technology and artificial intelligence innovation ecosystem.
Now in its seventh year, Digital December has evolved from a digital awareness initiative into a strategic enterprise transformation platform, focused on migrating high value and high volume business transactions from cash and cheques to secure digital channels, embedding banking solutions into enterprise systems through APIs and host to host connectivity, and positioning digital platforms as the default mechanism for business payments.
The newly signed MoU builds directly on this direction by extending the Bank’s enterprise digitalization agenda upstream into the innovation pipeline — connecting early stage innovators, startups, and founders with real world banking infrastructure, domain expertise, and potential capital readiness pathways.
From Digital Adoption to Digital Creation
Under the MoU, Laxmi Sunrise Bank will explore collaboration areas aligned with the core pillars of Digital December 2025, including API enablement, platform connectivity, and enterprise readiness. These include potential access to selected Open APIs or sandbox environments for innovators to prototype enterprise relevant digital solutions, early engagement with high potential ventures to assess market readiness and scale up potential, and expert led sessions on digital finance, fintech enabled growth, and access to startup and scale up capital.
The collaboration supports three nationwide U.S. Embassy backed initiatives — Seeding and Scaling Innovations, Code for Impact hackathons, and the U.S.–Nepal Commercial Diplomacy Discussion Series — collectively engaging nearly 400 young innovators, early stage founders, and emerging entrepreneurs across all seven provinces. The programs aim to strengthen Nepal’s pipeline of enterprise ready, AI enabled solutions across sectors such as fintech, agriculture, tourism, education, health, and climate resilience.
Aligning Enterprise Payments with the Innovation Economy
By linking Digital December’s enterprise payments focus with ecosystem level innovation support, Laxmi Sunrise Bank positions digital banking not only as an operational upgrade, but as a foundational layer of Nepal’s innovation economy. The MoU reflects a broader shift from standalone product adoption to platform based banking — where APIs, integrated payment systems, and host to host connectivity enable businesses to scale efficiently and securely.
Aadyanta Advisory will coordinate program design, mentorship, and ecosystem engagement, while AmCham Nepal and Aadhyanta Fund Management will mobilize private sector networks to support visibility, knowledge exchange, and ecosystem wide participation.
As Digital December 2025 culminates after a month of nationwide enterprise engagement, this MoU underscores Laxmi Sunrise Bank’s transition from digitizing transactions toward powering the enterprises, innovators, and systems shaping Nepal’s next phase of digital growth.
