Nabil Bank Partners with Nimbuzz to Offer International Data eSIM and Driving Permit Services

KATHMANDU: Nabil Bank Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding with Nimbuzz to provide international data eSIM and International Driving Permit (IDP) services through the bank’s mobile application, nBank.

With this partnership, Nabil Bank customers will be able to conveniently purchase international data plans and apply for an IDP directly from the nBank app. The agreement was signed by Adarsha Bazgain, Deputy CEO of Nabil Bank, and Rishabh Timilsina, Director of Nimbuzz during a special event.

Through the service, customers can access data eSIMs in over 200 countries and territories, including China, India, the United States, Australia, the UAE, Thailand, Qatar, Japan, Korea, Italy, France, and Canada. This will particularly benefit travelers, students, and migrant workers, who can now purchase reliable data plans in advance without the usual paperwork, currency exchange, or on-arrival hassles.

Speaking at the event, DCEO Bazgain highlighted that the initiative addresses common connectivity challenges faced by Nepalis abroad. “Customers can now select and purchase the data package that best suits their needs directly from our nBank app,” he said.

In addition, customers will be able to apply for an International Driving Permit via the nBank app. Issued in line with United Nations standards, the permit is recognized in more than 190 countries. Applications can be completed online in under 10 minutes, requiring only the upload of a valid Nepali driving license. The electronic permit is delivered within 24 hours with no additional tests required.

Director Timilsina of Nimbuzz expressed confidence that the services would make cross-border travel simpler and more stress-free for students, migrant workers, and international travelers alike.
